Shane prides himself on attention to detail, an unyielding work ethic, and a burning desire to create a win/win for all those he comes in contact with.   • Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch for 3+ years, targeting business development and client acquisitions that totaled nearly $600 Million.

Cary R. Clark


Chief Operating Officer/Partner

Cary's vast experience, acquired through 25 years in the securities industry, cements him as an essential member of the administrative team at SilverLeaf Financial. His finance and market based expertise and proficiency provide SilverLeaf with a wealth of knowledge, ensuring solidarity and security for their investment clientele. In all facets, Cary possesses an innate ability to evolve with current trends. His role at SilverLeaf includes:
  • Management of daily operations
  • Heading up all due diligence research, which entails; loan origination, collateral, borrower/guarantor, market information, risk assessment and bid determination.
  • Member of "Strategic Investment Committee"
  • Joint oversight for the sourcing of investor capital
  • Supervision of workouts and loan monetization

  • Owner/Partner in SilverLeaf Financial, Realty and Mortgage.
  • 25 year career in the Securities Industry. Firms include: Smith Barney, Prudential Securities, RBC Dain Rauscher and Wachovia Securities.
  • 20 years branch, complex and regional management experience. Titles include: Regional Director, Managing Director, Senior Vice President, Branch Manager, Vice President and Account Executive.
  • Recruited, trained and supervised hundreds of Financial Advisors. Managed operations, budgeting, P&L, legal/compliance and business development. Managed private client debt and equity portfolios. Pioneered wrap-fee managed accounts.
PERSONAL

Cary and his wife Elizabeth currently live in Sandy. He is a proud father and grandfather of six children and six grandchildren.

Colby W. Bond


V.P. of Business Development and Collateral Dispositions

Colby brings to SilverLeaf Financial a background of ten years experience within the commercial and residential real estate and development sector. His primary roles at SilverLeaf include sourcing investor capital and administrating the disposition of acquired collateral property. He also represents SilverLeaf with his involvement in the Mountain West Capital Network. Listed below are several of his professional and personal achievements and highlights.

EXPERIENCE

  • Managed and completed over one hundred construction projects along the Wasatch front and surrounding areas.
  • Sat on the Board of Directors for several architectural committees.
  • Developed marketing and sales strategies for a number of local and national construction companies.
  • Administered engineering and entitlement processes with city, county, and state authorities pertaining to retail, single family, and multifamily residential projects.
  • Served as a property manager for five years.
Nicely complimenting his real estate background, Colby owned and managed an outsource-marketing company as well. It was organized to target international campaigns for European wholesale showrooms. During that time he was responsible for coordinating events, showings, and other offerings pertaining to the company's latest product releases.

EDUCATION

Weber State University: Studied Business Administration and Technical Sales.

COMMUNITY

Colby is very active in the local community, and enjoys the charitable organizations with which he is involved. Colby and his wife Mary, proudly sit together on the Board of Directors for Kirilenko's Kids. They work hand in hand with the Kirilenko's (Andrei and Masha), to support their charitable foundation. In addition, their efforts also include contributing to both UNICEF and the NBA Cares organizations. Furthermore, Colby plays an integral role in organizing the Deron Williams Point of Hope Foundation Celebrity Golf Classic; whereas, SilverLeaf Financial is the Lead Sponsor for the event. On a personal note, Colby has been a volunteer youth basketball coach for better than four years.

Colby and his family currently live in Davis County. He sends love to his wife and 13 year old twins, Janessa and Dallas.

Trevor J. Linton


Director of Acquisitions

Trevor has obtained a unique background of experience. This diversity in professional know-how, qualifies him to manage the many responsibilities that define his role at SilverLeaf Financial. Trevor's primary function at SilverLeaf is to perform the extensive loan file, market data, and on-site due diligence research pertinent to profitable asset acquisition. He is also actively engaged in composing the necessary technical documentation, participating in investor relations, and assisting with asset disposition. Trevor is also involved with SilverLeaf's membership in the Mountain West Capital Network. Listed below are several of his professional and personal achievements and highlights.

EXPERIENCE
  • Five years sales, marketing, and finance management experience within design/build sector of the real estate development market.
  • Technical writing/Graphic documentation consultant for Department of Defense contracts.
  • Developed and implemented budgeting, sales, and marketing stratagem for national retail supplier.
  • Seven years written and verbal Japanese/English interpretation/translation experience.

PERSONAL

Much of Trevor's well-rounded background can be attributed to his involvement in vocal music entertainment. He has over 12 years of professional vocal performance experience, including appearances at various local and international venues. To compliment his performing prowess, Trevor possesses an affinity for sports and coaching. He has volunteered as a little league coach for various team sports within his local community, and has coached the Stew Morrill basketball camps at Utah State University as well. Trevor is an avid golfer. He is very proud of his single digit handicap.
